You know, when one is asked to write articles about vape devices, you have to go into it with a certain level of expectation: Talk about the hardware. Show off the style. Give the people reading the article an idea of what the device does. That means a lot of research, and reading about the product, so you can write an informed article. That's just the nature of the process.

However, when researching these things, you never think you're going to stumble across something so...

...Cute.

Really, that's the best word to describe what I'm looking at. An adorable little device that I can't find a more apt descriptor for than "cute." I'm talking about the Suorin Ace; and while "Suorin Ace" sounds like the badly translated title of an anime about jet pilots, this thing is absolutely nothing like that edgy, hard-tech, high-flying anime adventure show I just made up.

...Ah, yes! Perfect.

 

Okay, so I added the smiley face, but don't get me wrong—the fact that this thing is cuter than a panda riding on the back of a pony, both sporting matching kitten tattoos, with their mouths covered in cupcake frosting, that doesn't mean it's overcompensating for being a poor kit. This pod kit is actually a very solid pod device. It definitely lacks the bells and whistles of your more high-end kits, but that isn't a fault, it's a strength; the Suorin Ace doesn't need to showboat.

The device is made of zinc alloy and polycarbonate, and while it's not huge, it's not microscopic. It's approximately 71 x 45 x 16mm, which means it's boxy, but with a very slim profile:

The device has an internal battery, and (like my cat,) it runs all day long, and doesn't seem to wear out very easily. The internal battery is a 1000mAh internal battery, and recharges through a standard type-C charger, (un-like my cat.)

 

Do NOT insert a Type-C charger into your cat.

 

On the slim side of the device is the button for the firing mechanism, but the Suorin Ace is a dual-fire device, meaning if you're too lazy to push a button, (you know who you are, Steve,) then you can simply draw-fire the device with your mouth. Both are perfectly valid ways of enjoying your favorite e-juices. (But we're watching you, Steve—get your act together.)

The Suorin Ace has all sorts of protections for your convenience, too: Short Circuit Protection, Open Circuit Protection, Low Voltage Protection, 8S Overtime Protection, and Overcharge protection. (Basically, if your device can short out in some way, there's a built-in safety to try and prevent it.)

Now, like I mentioned before, this is a pod device. It uses a 2mL refillable pod, and it is compatible with the cartridges from the Suorin Shine; meaning if your Shine has died, and you're looking to get a new kit anyway, those old pods aren't exactly useless anymore. The Suorin Ace pods, however, have a more modified ergonomic mouthpiece, and also uses a magnetic connection system.

But lets not overlook the primary focus here; the unbridled cuteness of the device. It's got smooth, rounded edges, and a candied finish to the color. And the colors simply don't lack. It comes in a wide variety for boys, girls, and everyone in-between! Behold!

 

Now that is a wide assortment of colors. Taste the rainbow.

 

It even looks like it's not content with being dubbed a solely "cute" device, and comes in several butch, outdoorsy colors for those of you with a fragile sense of masculinity. Behold again!
