There has been a lot of hype surrounding the Mesh Pro. Even before that, FreeMax has put out some quality tanks, really helping to kick off the whole mesh craze that we're in right now. I thought 2018 was the year of the pods, but it's also turning out to be the year of the multi-mesh as well. And that's a great thing as I've never gotten more flavor out of a sub-ohm tank than I do using a dual or triple mesh coil. But I'm getting ahead of myself. Let's jump off this review and start at the best place possible: the top.
Drip Tip: The Mesh Pro utilizes a baby beast style 810 drip tip that has two o-rings on it. Standard or goon-style 810s will not work on here. The drip tip is made of the same resin as the rest of the tank and is very widebore and thinner than most 810 drip tips. The one improvement this one has is there is a slight lip on the inside towards the top that helps prevent condensation buildup from seeping into your mouth.
Fill Port: A red dot on the side of the tank marks where to press to open the fill port. Not really a fan of that as it takes away from the aesthetics of the tank. I would've preferred to see an engraving into the resin to mark this. The top slides open easily to reveal the fill port. I feel like it slides open a bit too easily and imagine there is potential there for it to open in ones pocket (I never keep my devices in my pockets anyway so that's not a concern to me, but I can see where it would be to some). The fill port is kidney shaped and is wide enough to fit just about any juice bottle.
Size/Styling: While the base of the Mesh Pro is 25mm, the resin portion for the airflow control ring juts out about an additional 3mm. It doesn't particularly look bad as it's a gradual increase in diameter, but just know that portion will overhang on many mods. As for the styling, I love the resin and the matching drip tips. The resin has a high gloss finish to it and just looks really nice. It looks like Freemax is also releasing metal versions with...Wolverine claw marks in it? Not terrible looking, but I'll sitck with the resin.
Airflow: When I say airflow is plentiful on the Mesh Pro, it is an understatement. There is a LOT of airflow and it is compounded by how widebore the drip tip is. This is not a bad thing though, as the coils are meant to be run at high watts and the ample airflow is necessary for the amount of vapor that is being produced. The airflow control ring is on a stopper in either direction and you can actually see the stopper. It looks a bit awkward and I feel that the same result could have been reached without exposing the stopper.
Coils: The Mesh Pro utilizes a plethora of different coils that Freemax produces. On top of the Mesh coils, the Mesh Pro is also capable of using Freemax's Sextuple, Duodenary, DVC coils, and the Firelock RBA head. I really would have liked to see the RBA head included with the tank, but at the price point it's at and how amazing the mesh coils are, I don't think many will complain. The mesh coils are my favorite coils I've ever used. They produce an insane amount of flavor and last a long time. I have 4 of the coils that FreeMax produced for the Mesh Pro but was only able to use 2 of them in the 3 weeks because of how long they last. It's the best of both worlds here: flavor and longevity. I guess the only con here is that since they require so much power, the coils tend to guzzle juice.
Performance: At this point, you all probably know what I'm about to say here. Pretty much everyone else that I've seen review the Mesh Pro have praised it and I'm going to be no different. The Mesh Pro is by far the best sub-ohm tank that I have ever used! I have never experienced the amount of flavor from a sub-ohm tank as I do with the Mesh Pro; I didn't even think it was possible. FreeMax has done something really special with this tank. I'm not really sure it can get any better than this at this point. I know I'm sounding shilly right now, but it's just that good!
Final Thoughts
Pros
Cons
There really isn't much else to say about the Mesh Pro that I haven't already said. If you're looking for a high-powered sub-ohm tank with amazing flavor, long lasting coils, and don't mind running through a ton of juice, then the Mesh Pro should be on the top of your list.
