RAZ DC25000 Disposable Vape Not Charging? Why & How to Fix?
You know, it’s quite annoying trying to get your disposable vape to charge so you could use it again – maybe during your journey, and it’s just not going to charge. Well, in these annoying situations, you need to first verify the cause of the problems before heading on for any solution.
The RAZ DC25000 is a great vape – offering 25k puffs and a variety of flavors to choose from. It is equally one of the most affordable options in the market and it lasts long. If your RAZ DC25000 vape isn’t charging, there could be a few workarounds that would work to fix it, but if these don’t work, then maybe time to toss it and get another one.
So, in this article, we will put you through some common causes of “disposable vape not charging” situations and how you can possibly fix each cause. Not going to be a long read, but a little lengthy – you’d be thankful if you read to the last.
Why is the RAZ DC25000 Disposable Vape Not Charging?
Firstly, it is important to note that disposable vapes have a shelf life, and when they expire, one of the signs is the inability to get the battery charged or hold power.
1. Possible Problem: Faulty/Dead Battery
Mobile devices are powered by batteries, rechargeable or non-rechargeable, and for vapes, they come with integrated rechargeable batteries. These batteries are built to hold power to an extent – depending on the device usage and operational mode. But, over time, or due to constant exposure to harsh conditions, the battery in a disposable vape may become faulty.
A disposable vape’s battery may be termed “faulty” or “dead” due to the following conditions:
- The vape is way old and the battery is now very weak
- Physical damage on the battery due to storage or transportation
- Regular exposure to high temperatures
These factors above can make a disposable vape’s battery degrade badly to the point that it becomes unable to recharge.
Solution:
- Check the user manual to see if there’s any guide to opening the vape’s casing for battery replacement.
- If there’s anything of such, follow the recommended steps and open the vape casing
- Remove the battery and look for it online or go to a local store that sells vapes and ask if they’ve got the battery.
- Insert the new battery and reassemble the vape’s casing.
Try charging it again to see if the issue is fixed.
2. Possible Problem: Dirty and Debris
Of course, dirt and debris can find their way and settle right inside your vape’s charging port; worst still, the dirt would stay in there and build up – so, the longer it’s there, the more it saturates.
Over time, the dirt and debris would cover more parts of the charging port; hence, when the charger is connected, it is unable to fit into the pins on the charging port, and that could be the reason your vape is not charging.
This is most likely the issue if your vape ever fell to the ground – on a sandy surface or inside a dirt dump.
Solution:
The solution here is quite simple, you should clean out the dirt that’s stuck in your vape’s charging port using a damp cloth or pin. Just don’t use water. A cotton swab dipped in alcohol will do; or you can use an air blower at the lowest speed. Once it feels like you’ve gotten the dirt out of the port, try charging the vape again and see if everything is fine now. PLEASE, DON’T USE WATER.
3. Possible Problem: Faulty Cable or Charger
Have you considered using another charger? Or even change the charging cable to see if that’s where the problem is coming from? You see, electronic stuff can get faulty anytime, even after you just finished using them a few minutes ago.
From another angle, did you change your charging cable or the charger head? If you did, maybe the new one you’ve got is not good. See, there could be a lot of permutable reasons from this point of view, but the thing is, you’ve gotta try some troubleshooting to be sure.
Solution:
First things first, if you’ve got another Type-C charging cable, use it to try charging the vape; it if doesn’t charge, still keep the (new) Type-C cable, and get another charger head, now, connect the Type-C cable to the new charger head and see of the vape would charge. If this doesn’t work, you can go on to try a couple more different charger heads and cables, and if none works, it’s safe to say the problem you’re facing is not charger-based. Check out other troubleshooting tips we’ve got here.
4. Possible Problem: The Vape is the Problem
Just as mentioned earlier; disposable vapes have a shelf life, and once that is reached, it starts to malfunction. Have you checked the expiration date on the vape’s body? Yeah, maybe the vape’s expired. But then, an expired vape has a lot of signs to show for it; for example, the e-juice starts tasting awful and some of the digital features would stop functioning. So, if these signs came along with the charging problem, we could guess you’ve got an expired vape there.
Solution:
If the vape’s expired, there’s literally no solution other than to get a new disposable vape. However, if the vape’s not expired, check if you could find a broken component (like, maybe the battery shifted from its spot, so it’s not properly connected to the nodes anymore) – this may warrant loosing the vape casing to see the inside.
5. Possible Problem: Temperature Concerns
Yeah, the last but not least of the possible problems you’re facing with your RAZ DC25000 vape is “temperature” level. Maybe you’ve exposed the vape to a very high temperature or very low temperature. Vapes are meant to be stored in cool, dry shelves or saveboxes, and not to be exposed to high temperatures, mostly, else, the battery will heat up, which could cause charging issues, or in worst scenarios, leak to fire outbreaks.
Solution:
If the vape is too hot, let it cool down before trying to charge it again. You’ve got ice? Maybe you should place the vape on the ice – hey! Don’t put the vape into your fridge! When a disposable vape – not just the RAZ DC25000 – is too hot, it may not charge.
What Else?
The RAZ DC25000 is a smart disposable vape; it can’t just stop charging if none of the scenarios explained above had occurred. Mainly, check the charger, the power outlet, and the charging port (for dirt) – these are most likely concerns. But then, the battery could be faulty and require a change. Yeah, disposable vape batteries can be replaced, and this is something you can do on your own.
